This course is designed to equip Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) drivers with essential knowledge and skills for effective communication techniques while driving a CMV. In this course we will cover what the FMCSA says about Communication for CMV Operators, when and how to communicate to others during maneuvers, how to communicate for vehicle awareness, pullover procedures, lights, and horn use, how to communicate with formal warning devices, when communication can be misused and harmful, and we will look at some real world examples of how proper communication is practiced.
